HOW CAN SOLUTION FOCUSED HYPNOTHERAPY , POSSIBLY, PROVIDE A SOLUTION FOR ALL THESE THINGS? Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Phobias, Fear of Flying, OCD, PTSD, Panic Attacks, Low Self-Esteem, Lack of Confidence, Insomnia, PAIN, Over Eating, SMOKING, Stress, Overwhelm.
AND HOW CAN IT HELP DEVELOP RESILIENCY, A RELAXED AND CALM MINDSET AND WELLBEING ?
From the solution focused hypnotherapy (SFHT) perspective the clue is in the phrase “One Brain, two minds”. SFHT thinks of the brain as comprising of two parts, the primitive mind and the intellectual mind.
The primitive mind comprising of the Amygdala, Hippocampus and Hypothalamus, and an ancient part of the mind, which keeps us safe. It is the fight / flight / freeze part of the brain.
Then there is the intellectual mind (i.e. Pre-frontal cortex). The intellectual mind is your conscious part. And it’s the part we use to interact with the world. This second part is connected to a vast intellectual resource.
Just by thinking about the two minds, you can determine which mind you spend most of your time in and which one you would prefer to spend time in. And it doesn’t take too long to realise which mind causes all the mental health issues listed above (primitive mind). These mental health issues are expressions and behaviours of the fight, flight and freeze response.
You will learn about these responses in the FREE consultation. the stress bucket analogy explains why, when we spend time in the primitive mind, we exhibit those mentally unhealthy behaviours. As a result we get to know what to do about it.
However, the main focus of SFHT is to recover access to the intellectual mind which gives us a balanced expanded perspective. This enables us to come up with our own answers to the situations in life as well as giving us access to resources and capabilities which had been temporarily blocked by the fight / flight / freeze response.
I’m sure you are familiar with what that blocked feeling, feels like! As well as what that lovely released feeling feels like when we go on holiday (into the intellectual mind) and let go of all those temporary stresses and attachments. Consequently we find ourselves freed from the grip of the limited, restrictive primitive mind and can think properly, learn and have a more choice in life.
So how do we recover access to the intellectual mind and its full capacity and capabilities? The answer to that question are the SFHT sessions. In those sessions you will learn how to gain access to the intellectual brain and experience its benefits. However in the meantime here are some clues:
Where you will learn how the brain works and how to use it to support you in dealing with anxiety. Hypnotherapy is a recognised strategy for helping with this.
